A former city official for Norwalk has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the shooting death of a man in January 2022.

Court officials said Ellen Wink was charged with murder and sentenced on Friday.

Police received a 911 call about a disturbance at a home at 16 Nelson Ave. and found 54-year-old Kurt Lametta inside, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said Wink was Lametta's landlord. Police said an argument between the two happened before Lametta's death.

Wink is a former candidate for state representative and former city clerk.
