A pedestrian has serious injuries after being hit by a car on Route 6 in Farmington Friday night.
The police department said they responded to Route 6, also known as Colt Highway, in the area of Farmington Chase Crescent shortly after 8 p.m.

Officers found a person with serious injuries. They were taken to the hospital by a Lifestar helicopter, police said.
The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad is conducting an investigation.
Authorities say the road is expected to remain closed for several hours.
