AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) - The Student Activities Center at the University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) was rededicated in honor of Chancellor Emeritus Dr. Robert E. Alexander on Friday.

During Dr. Alexander's tenure, the campus grew by more than 400 acres and undergraduate enrollment increased by 70 percent. Naming the center in his honor pays homage to his lifelong commitment to student success and the growth of the institution.

"I was motivated by a man who loved people, who loved his children and who loved what education could do for us.
