A video of a dog mourning the passing of her canine sibling brought people to tears, as it shows that pets can have emotions following a loss just like humans.

Trulee and Charlotte, whom the family calls Moo, grew up together, the owner Kara Ferguson told Newsweek via TikTok. The family welcomed the two American cocker spaniels home when they were puppies, with Trulee being about 8 months older.

"Moo was the puppy we bought FOR Trulee," she said. "Trulee was always the pack leader, and Moo followed along!"

But the family recently said their final goodbyes as Trulee crossed the rainbow bridge, which left Moo without her buddy.

Three days after Trulee's passing, Ferguson found Moo staring at a picture of her doggy sibling on the bookshelf that had been there for the last three years.
