TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- Across America, blood supplies are running low, potentially putting peoples lives at risk. With that in mind, the American Red Cross has teamed up with the Ithaca Tompkins International Airport, along with the Departments of Emergency Response and Whole Health to host a blood drive.

It's happening at the Tompkins County Whole Health Building in Ithaca on Saturday, Sept, 13th. It starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. and is happening in conjunction with this year's Airport Day and Preparedness Expo.

Organizers say all blood types are needed, especially those with types O-, A-, and B-.
