Arizona’s congressional Democrats are asking President Donald Trump to have mercy on Kelly Yu, a Peoria restaurateur who is awaiting deportation to Hong Kong after fighting for asylum for two decades.

The Sept. 5 letter is signed by U.S. Sens. Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego, as well as U.S. Reps. Greg Stanton and Yassamin Ansari. U.S. Rep. Abe Hamadeh, R-Arizona, who is Yu’s representative, did not sign onto the plea for help.
