TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -Around 50 protesters gathered outside Troy City Hall with signs against local and nationwide ICE activity. Written in chalk on the sidewalk reads, “Immigrants are welcome here,” and, “ICE out of New York and Troy.”

“We actually have worked together with the Capital Regional Sanctuary Coalition. They’ve been doing enormous work to try to track ICE activity. They have registered that there have been 36 detainments since February,” said Noreen McKee Board. She's a board member and the founder of the Justice Center of Rensselaer County. NEWS10's Anthony Krolikowski reached out to ICE to confirm that number and is awaiting a response.
