(WHTM) -- In order to strengthen its security, WellSpan Health announced Friday it was going to implement changes, including creating its own police force.

WellSpan said its own police officers would man all hospitals 24/7 and provide support to its already existing security team. It would be headed by WellSpan's current Vice President of Public Safety William White, who was a member of the Pennsylvania State Police for more than 25 years.
