FOREST LAKES, Ariz. (Gray News) - A woman in Arizona fell to her death after walking away from her campsite to relieve herself.

The 29-year-old woman was camping with friends on the edge of the Mogollon Rim near Forest Lakes, Arizona, on Aug. 30, according to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.

Her friends said that she had walked away from the campsite into the darkness for a “restroom break.” The sheriff’s office said she then fell off the edge of the cliff.

The woman fell about 120 feet, according to the sheriff’s office, resulting in her death.

Deputies responded to the scene at about 1 a.m. and the Coconino County Search and Rescue recovered the woman’s body.

The woman’s identity has not been released at this time.
