CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- The points came in bunches in the University of Charleston and California (Pennsylvania)’s football game on Thursday night.

The Vulcans’ last cluster was too much for the Golden Eagles to match.

Thirteen straight points for Cal in the middle two quarters lifted the Vulcans to a 23-19 victory at Adamson Stadium.

Charleston’s loss snapped a 15-game regular-season win streak.

After Harry Radcliffe’s 40-yard field goal put Cal up 23-13 with 3:15 remaining in the third quarter, Charleston’s Marques Herron hauled in a 33-yard pass from Ean Hamric just 2 minutes and 2 seconds later to get the Golden Eagles within four.
