A Canton man ordered held without bail in connection with a fatal shooting was found by police under his mother’s bed, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office said Friday.
Jordan Evans , 32, appeared in Roxbury BMC on Friday and was charged in connection with the shooting death of Shakar Caterson, 35, of Dorchester, in Roxbury on May 3, Hayden’s office said in a statement. Evans is expected to appear in court again for a pretrial hearing on Oct. 3.
At around 10:53 p.m. that day, Boston police learned of a ShotSpotter activation for two gunshots at Blue Hill Avenue and Georgia Street, the statement read. Officers found Caterson on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. After he was taken to Boston Medical Center, he was pronounced dead.
