Phase 1 of E3 Lithium’s Demonstration Facility has officially been launched.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the site, which is located approximately 20 kilometres east of Olds, on Friday, Sept. 5.

E3 Lithium is operating a demonstration program through the end of 2025 and into 2026 as the final phase of technology demonstration for the Clearwater Project, Canada’s first commercial Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) development.

The program is structured in three phases, with Phase 1 focused on bringing the DLE system and associated polishing and purification units into operation to produce high-quality lithium chloride.
