INDIANAPOLIS — Students in Indianapolis say “enough is enough.” On Friday, students from Shortridge, Herron and North Central high schools walked out to protest gun violence in schools .
They say school shootings have become normalized.
“I like learning and I like being able to feel safe in a community and should be able to learn without being scared of being in that community,” said junior Noelle Scott.
Students brought their protest to the Statehouse, chanting, “Enough is enough” and “No more silence, end gun violence.”
It’s part of the nationwide Students Demand Action protest. Schools across the country walked out of class at noon local time, urging lawmakers to pass an assault weapon ban. It comes after two children were killed when a gunman opened fire at Annunciation Catholic Sc
