PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Tens of thousands of portable baby loungers are being recalled due to suffocation, fall and entrapment risks, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The CPSC notes that the URMYWO baby loungers violate several mandatory standards for infant sleep products.

Specifically, the lounger's sides are shorter than the minimum height requirement, which poses a fall risk; the pad's thickness exceeds the maximum limit, posing a suffocation hazard; and an enclosed opening at the bottom of the lounger poses and entrapment risk. The portable baby loungers also do not come with stands.

The violations pose serious risk of injury or death, according to the CPSC. No injuries have been reported.
