LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Pride Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on Saturday along Bardstown Road. Organizers say, though, the current political climate across the country is bringing its own set of challenges to the event.
Ebony Cross, the executive director of the Louisville Pride Foundation , told WAVE News they’ve planned for the biggest and proudest festival to date despite the fact that they’ve lost some sponsors this year.
“Some sponsors that we had last year, you know, didn’t return or maybe dropped their level,” Cross pointed out.
This echoes what Central Kentucky saw earlier this year with the Kentuckiana Pride Festival, which lost about $75,000 in sponsorships. Cross said, however, the community has stepped up to help. This year, Louisville Pr
