FARGO — In the heart of downtown Fargo is an 1898 building with decades of history to tell.
214 Broadway was once home to Hurley's Religious Goods. Before that, a turn of the century hotel ... a bicycle shop ... a cafe.
But for the last 18 years, a Fargo couple worked to restore the building and call it home. Now, Kevin and Kari Hanson are turning the page on life's next chapter, and the landmark building is for sale.
"There were furring strips every 16-inches, then the plaster lathe and then the plaster on that," Kevin Hanson said, pointing to the exposed brick.
The Fargo couple has called the community home their entire lives but about 20 years ago, they felt pulled to downtown.
