TAYLOR COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says it is responding to a reported manure spill that has left some fish dead in a creek.

According to a release, the DNR says the spill was reported in Taylor County and has led to dead fish in Trappers Creek, which flows into the Black River.

The spill reportedly occurred earlier in the week; however, the DNR was notified of it on Friday via its violation hotline.

Officials are working with the Taylor County Land Conservation Department and a local farmer to find what led to the spill, while the extent of its impact is being evaluated to determine the next steps.
