The University of Hawaii football program will be available to a wider television audience beginning with Saturday’s game against Sam Houston at the Ching Complex.

Seven UH football games produced by Spectrum Sports also will be shown throughout Southern California and parts of Nevada, including Las Vegas, on Spectrum SportsNet. The telecasts will air live and at no extra cost to subscribers of Spectrum Sports, Hawaiian Telcom and DirecTV. (Telecasts of the remaining three UH games will air on national networks.)

“This is a tremendous step forward for UH football, with our home games now reaching fans in key markets across the western U.S., including places like Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where there are strong connections to Hawaii,” UH athletic director Matt Elliott said in a release.
