SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Scottsdale Police Department has confirmed to 12News that the suspect they're looking for in connection with a murder is the same suspect convicted of dismembering dogs in Colorado.
Scottsdale Police are searching for Matthew Dieringer, 35. Dieringer is accused of killing 67-year-old Frank Quaranta at Quaranta's home near 68th Street and McDowell over Labor Day weekend.
Scottsdale Police received a call for a welfare check on Sep. 1. When no one answered Quaranta's door, police said they broke in and found him dead inside.
Police have not released any details about the murder, including how they came to identify Dieringer as a suspect.
But police did confirm that Dieringer is the same suspect convicted of killing his roommate's two dogs in Colorado in 2020. Ac
