Six people were arrested on Friday afternoon in connection with a smash-and-grab burglary at a jewelry store along the Magnificent Mile, police said.

The incident was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. at Rolex, 701 N. Michigan Ave. According to police, four men broke an exterior glass window with an unknown object and took property from within the watch store.

The suspects fled on foot before getting into a red Nissan SUV and driving away. Six male suspects were later taken into custody, and the items stolen in the burglary were recovered, police said.

Footage captured by an NBC Chicago photographer at the scene showed several shattered windows and pieces of glass scattered on the sidewalk.
