BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Southern’s defense will have its hands full Saturday night as the Jaguars host Alabama State in their first home game of the season.
The Hornets showed their power in week one. They scored 42 points and gained over 500 yards of offense to beat UAB. Leading the way was quarterback Andrew Body, who accounted for 400 yards and five touchdowns with both his arm and legs. Containing Body will be Southern’s top defensive priority. If he can extend plays outside the pocket, Alabama State’s offense can present major problems.
