BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A family in Baton Rouge has a lemonade stand featured on the new Baton Rouge Monopoly board game. But for the Hayward family, their business is about much more than selling drinks.

In 2013, the Hayward family started Leroy’s Lip Smack’n Lemonade. They wanted to help Leroy Jr., their son with autism, gain confidence and life skills. What started as a simple idea has grown into a thriving business with a powerful mission.

“It gave him purpose,” Sherilyn Hayward said. “And we wanted to inspire other parents that have a child like Leroy, just love on them, promote them, inspire them to do what they like to do.”
