HOLLYWOOD -- Orlando Bloom heads the cast of the new drama "The Cut" playing a former boxing champ whose career ended in defeat. When he gets the chance to go back into the ring for redemption, he seems willing to do whatever it takes to lose the weight to make that happen--no matter how unhealthy it may be.

Bloom punches his way through a very demanding role, both physically and mentally.

"I really wanted to do this physical transformation and push the boundaries for myself," said Bloom. "And, you know, I was supervised so I wouldn't recommend anyone do this at home, but I was surprised by the old noggin. It definitely took a turn into some pretty dark spaces."
