A central Alabama city is experiencing problems with its emergency phone lines.

Fultondale city officials announced the dispatch lines are down and are asking anyone who needs assistance to call the Jefferson County 911 center at 205-325-1450, ext. 2.

That number should also be used for natural gas emergencies. Officials said the number should not be used for normal billing questions.

A timeline for restoration of the dispatch lines has not been released.
