The Dodgers catching depth chart is as thin as it’s ever been in years at the moment. Dalton Rushing, who is filling in for Will Smith on regular duties this weekend, fouled a ball off his right leg in the sixth inning on Friday night and had to be helped off the field.

The team during the game announced Rushing has a lower left leg contusion.

Rushing fouled a ball off his leg with two outs in the sixth inning and immediately crumpled to the ground, and was writhing in pain. Manager Dave Roberts and assistant athletic director Yosuke Nakajima ran to home plate to check on Rushing, and both ultimately had to help him back to the cluhouse, to avoid putting weight on his right leg.
