Should the winner of Wednesday night’s drawing choose the lump-sum payout, they will get around $600 million after taxes. It was a mad dash for a chance at the big money Wednesday that even caused one store’s system to crash. The clerk at the Circle K gas station near Germantown Parkway and Dexter said his system crashed around 6:00 p.m. because he was selling too many tickets. He reported selling $10,000 worth of lottery tickets in the hours leading up to the crash. “I just got about $35 worth of Powerball tickets,” Victor Loony told FOX13.
