LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A one-year-old child was reportedly found to have drugs in their system after the Laredo Police Department responded to a welfare call at the child’s home.

On the morning of Thursday, September 4, officers responded to a welfare check at a residence on the 2100 block of E. San Jose St. Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious woman, identified as 42-year-old Jennifer Fragoso, along with two children in a parked vehicle in the driveway. The children were one year old and five years old.

Reports indicate that two children were taken to a Laredo hospital for treatment, and the Special Victims Unit was called to the scene.
