A Somerset County man was arrested and charged with possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, officials announced Friday.
Kenneth Vaughn, 35, of Peapack, was employed as an elementary school teacher in Branchburg at the time of his arrest, the Somerset County Prosector’s Office said in a news release.
The Branchburg Township School District did not respond to a request for comment on his employment status with the district.
The New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force notified the prosecutor’s office of a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning files depicting sexual abuse and the exploitation of a minor via a social media and messaging platform, authorities said.
That tip led investigators
