ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Eduardo Valencia hit three home runs in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday as the Toledo Mud Hens earned a split with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

The first game, which was a continuation of Thursday’s contest that was suspended in the sixth inning, saw the Mud Hens score 16 unanswered runs en route to a 16-3 victory.

The IronPigs won the second game 8-7 in walk-off fashion in the 10th inning.

Valencia finished the opener with three homers and eight RBIs as the Mud Hens rallied from an early 3-0 deficit. Toledo took the lead with a six-run sixth inning on Thursday and proceeded to add 10 more runs, including two more Valencia long balls, on Friday.
