GREENWOOD, La. - A Northwest Louisiana holiday tradition that has lit up Caddo Parish for more than 40 years could be downsized or cancelled altogether.
Christmas in Roseland at the American Rose Center is the largest fundraiser of the year for the gardens, and unless the center can raise $75,000 by the end of September, the Christmas tradition may not be as extravagant as previous years.
Each winter, the gardens at the American Rose Center transform into a winter wonderland with lights, music and holiday magic.
"Christmas in Roseland is our largest fundraiser of the year and is more important this year as we will no longer have the backing of the American Rose Society to follow through with us going into 2026," said interim Executive Director Beth Smiley.
