BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) - A Beloit man pleaded not guilty in court Friday morning to 20 criminal charges , including human trafficking, according to online court records.

Charles Anthony Bell, 59, is accused of trafficking a woman for commercial sex acts while using threats and violence to control her. A criminal complaint alleges that between November 2024 and January 2025, Bell repeatedly assaulted the victim, restricted her movements and forced her into prostitution while keeping the money.

The alleged situation came to light when two men reported being lured to Bell’s home under false pretenses, the complaint stated.
