JAMESTOWN, N.D. — For the first time since 2004, Grand Forks Central is 2-0.
The Knights scored 39 unanswered points in routing Jamestown 39-7 on Friday night.
Leading 13-7, Central cranked up the pressure on Jamestown in the second quarter when cornerback Zade Martin intercepted a pass and returned it 85 yards for a touchdown. Martin's score gave the Knights a 19-7 halftime lead.
"That's a kid who has done a lot of really good things for us for two, three years," Central coach Jake Schauer said. "He's a little dude, but he's such a competitor. Once he had the ball ... good luck catching him."
