Now that the weather has shifted and the cool breeze can float freely through our house again from all the open windows, my kitchen is a busy place.

Between canning all of the garden produce and baking all the goodies we’ve been waiting for a cool day to indulge in, it’s a nonstop food factory once again. Homemade bread is next on the agenda and I usually make enough to freeze for later, but right now my freezer is full of produce, so it’s smaller batches for now until we remedy that issue. Soft pretzels are a delicious weakness of ours, but sourdough makes them feel a little less heavy in our bellies and lets us enjoy them guilt-free on any given day. This recipe has only a few ingredients and doesn’t take long to come together.
