Jonathan Chandler and Jerrel Jernigan know each other very well. They've shared a football life since the early days of high school.

The pair first met during Chandler's senior year in a spring game when Opelika took on Eufaula. Chandler, the quarterback for Opelika, and Jernigan, a junior at the time, was the quarterback for Eufaula.

Two years later, Chandler and Jernigan were on the same sideline at Troy University, making s pecial team touchdowns and sharing steaks with each other at special teams coach Shayne Wasden's house.
