SNOOK, Texas (KBTX) - St. Stephens wasted no time lighting up the scoreboard against Snook on Friday. The Spartans continued their onslaught throughout the contest, taking down the Blue Jays, 67-2.

Why did St. Stephens win? The Spartans used their balanced attack to punish the Blue Jays on the ground and through the air. Quarterback Basil Baldwin’s arm strength opened up the deep passing game. That forced Snook’s defense to lighten up in box, making the Blue Jays vulnerable against the run.

Standout performance: St. Stephens’ Will Walters was a weapon all over the field offensively. He hauled in several deep completions. He was also effective as a screen option, making the initial defender miss and racking up significant yards after the catch.
