The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks couldn't get on the board until it was far too late, dropping a 24-7 prep football decision to host Bemidji on Friday night at Chet Anderson Stadium.

Miles Gish broke off touchdown runs of 30 and 62 yards in the first half as the Lumberjacks took a 21-0 lead to the break.

The Thunderhawks remained shut out until the fourth quarter, when quarterback Logan McNear found the end zone from 8 yards out.

Rapids (1-1) hosts Duluth Denfeld next Friday.
