COVINA — Charter Oak stunned Muir with a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback, scoring twice in the final four minutes to secure a 34-33 victory on Friday.

Charter Oak quarterback Corin Berry capped the comeback with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Christian Alarcon with 48 seconds left.

It was a wild finish.

It looked like Muir would go on to win after quarterback Trey Gamble hit Alijha Smith in stride for a 90-yard touchdown to take a 12-point lead with 10:09 left. Smith finished with three catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Muir was starting to run out the clock when the Chargers blocked a punt and Izaya Orona picked it up for a scoop and score, running in 15 yards for a touchdown to make it a five-point game with 3:27 to go.
