The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has outlined proposals to assist disabled individuals and those with health conditions such as arthritis who are claiming Universal Credit to secure and maintain employment. Suggested modifications to Personal Independence Payment (PIP) have been suspended pending the results of an assessment process review, which will be jointly developed by Minister for Social Security and Disability Sir Stephen Timms alongside disability organisations.
This review is scheduled for completion by next autumn, though Universal Credit alterations are already in progress, reports the Daily Record . Employment Minister Alison McGovern outlined these proposals in a written reply to Labour MP Terry Jermy (North West Norfolk), who enquired about measures being implem
