BILLINGS — It may have taken defending State A football champion Billings Central a quarter to get going, but once they did the Rams were hard to stop on Friday night at picturesque Herb Klindt Field.
After the Rams, rated No. 1 in the first 406 MT Sports power rankings of the season , and No. 4 Havre Blue Ponies battled to a 0-0 tie after a stanza, Central responded in a big way in a 42-7 victory on a perfect evening for football on the Rocky Mountain College campus.
The Rams (2-0) , who tallied 343 yards to 145 for Havre, outscored the Blue Ponies 21-7 in the second quarter, 14-0 in the third and 7-0 in the fourth to earn their 14th straight win.
