It may not have been exactly how Coach Scott Barney drew it up, but the Sudbury Wolves improved to 2-1 in the pre-season with a 6-5 shootout victory over the visiting Soo Greyhounds on Friday night at the Sudbury Community Arena. Article content

The Wolves scored on their first shot of the game to go up 1-0, but were sloppy for much of the first half of the game and trailed 4-2 midway through the second period. Sudbury then stormed back to lead 5-4, but a late goal by the Greyhounds with 3:39 remaining in regulation pushed it directly to a shootout, since there’s no overtime in exhibition action.
