A grandmother who has battled cancer three times faces working until the age of 72 to clear her debts after her state pension age was suddenly changed without adequate warning.
Dee Reid, 70, who lives in Aviemore, Scotland, is one of an estimated 3.8 million Waspi (Women Against State Pension Inequality) women affected by major changes to the state pension age.
Waspi campaigners say that women born between 1950 and 1960 were not given enough notice about the increase in their pension age and want compensation for the effect on their lives.
