Athletes from Archbishop Hoban and Norton high schools won the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 23-31 .

Abby Alden from Hoban is the girls winner and Buddy Willig from Norton wins for the boys. Alden, who plays soccer, received 56.26% of the votes cast. Willig, who plays football, received 70.45% of the votes cast.

A total of 4,787 votes were cast overall. Look for more on each athlete below.
