The Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins may be rivals on the baseball diamond this weekend, but the two teams and star center fielder Harrison Bader came together to give a kid the memory of a lifetime after a selfish adult fan nearly ruined his special day.

In the fourth inning of Friday night’s game at LoanDepot Park, Bader crushed a home run into the left field seats to extend Philadelphia’s lead to 5-1. The story should have ended there.

The NBC Sports Philadelphia cameras caught a male Phillies fan running over to retrieve Harrison Bader’s home run ball, which he gave to his son. But a woman Phillies fan then came over and angrily confronted the father in front of his kid, so the man decided to end the dispute by handing the ball over to her:
