It’s a warm and muggy start to the morning with most of us in the low to mid 70s. We are tracking a cold front that is forecast to move through Alabama today. A line of showers and embedded thunderstorms in Mississippi is forecast to move into west Alabama between 7 and 9 a.m.
Scattered thundershowers will be likely this morning and into the early afternoon hours. The main threat will be pockets of heavy rainfall, gusty winds around 20 to 30 mph and lightning. A strong storm can’t be ruled out, but I think most of these storms should remain below severe limits. The stronger storms will be capable of producing
