Holidaymakers could soon be splashing about in brand new pools and a lazy river at a beloved tourist destination an hour from Bristol thanks to ambitious plans at a holiday park.

Unity Holidays, which operates the Unity Beach holiday park in Brean, Somerset, has lodged proposals with local planners for extensive upgrades. The £10.2 million transformation of Brean Splash includes proposals for an extra outdoor pool, a lido-style section, a lazy river, and revamped changing facilities.
