I'm not a big DLC guy. Microtransactions are a hard no, but I rarely even engage with full expansions. Most of the time, I'd rather just play something new, and the games I do return to frequently often aren't ones with any meaningful DLC. I can think of a few essentials — Dishonored 's add-ons, for example, or the post-launch content for any Sid Meier's Civilization game — but for the most part, I can happily live without DLC.

This year, however, I was genuinely excited to see Indiana Jones and the Great Circle return with the Order of Giants DLC. The Great Circle was my favorite AAA game of last year , and it accomplished the rare feat of leaving me wanting more.
