COLUMBIA, Pa. (WHTM) - Federal, State, and local Emergency Responder agencies will be conducting a train derailment exercise in and around Columbia today, Saturday, September 6.

Columbia Borough Police say the public may see increased first responder activity around the rail line, in the Columbia River Park, and on the Susquehanna River.

Officials ask the public to provide space for First Responders and view any activity from a distance.

They say this training is a great opportunity for First Responders to train and learn in the event a train derailment was to occur.
