LITHOPOLIS, OH — The annual Lithopolis Honeyfest kicks off Friday, September 5, and continues through Saturday, September 6, bringing a weekend full of sweet fun, education, and community spirit. The free festival, launched in 2007 on the front lawn of Wagner Memorial Library, has grown into a village-wide celebration honoring the honeybee and its vital role in global agriculture.
Now recognized as a “Bee City,” Lithopolis embraces the importance of pollinators and their connection to farming and food supply. Organizers say the event’s mission has always been to educate the public on the honeybee’s role in sustaining life.
This year’s Honeyfest will feature 15 food trucks, 120 vendors, two stages of live entertainment , and one-of-a-kind attractions such as bee beard demonstration
