Fire broke out in a rooftop access room atop a four-story apartment building in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, which was quickly put out by firefighters, authorities said Saturday.
The fire was reported at 7:13 p.m. Friday at 400 S. Hobart Blvd., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton.
The building had three stories over parking.
Smoke and fire were showing from the room when firefighters arrived, Middleton said. They had the flames out in 36 minutes.
“In addition to fire suppression, firefighters quickly performed salvage operations to protect unit below the fire on the third floor from water/smoke damage,” she said. No injuries were reported.
