On Aug. 30, the Dispatch published a letter to the editor in the Reader Opinion section criticizing school board member D.J. Dondelinger.
The Dispatch now wishes to retract some portions of that letter. “Retract” means to withdraw a statement or accusation because it is untrue or unjustified.
Specifically, the Dispatch retracts the following statements:
The headline on the letter, implying that Mr. Dondelinger’s views suggest “bigotry” on his part.
The claim in the letter that Mr. Dondelinger “recently used his free speech to decorate his business lawn with anti-DEI and anti-CRT slogans.”
The claim in the letter that opposition to DEI on the part of a school board member somehow “harm(s) children by going backward.”
